    Greetings Brethren: We declare that the African ancestry and/or culture for Blacks throughout the Diaspora is an important element in the quest for Unity and Pan-Africanism. However we cannot re-write history and restore what has been lost. No culture has remained the same when it has been displaced and removed from its initial environment. What is important is knowledge of our past history and not an attempt to live in the past.

    As the economic institution of bondage and captivity became a reality in America, the conscience of America and the world contemplated and conceived the ungodly human injustice of servitude. The rise of the Christians to combat this blemish on humanity also produced the religious zealots who blindly excluded the people from “The Land of The Blacks” as creatures of God. Out of this confusion came the Quakers who led the way for the White Abolitionist Movement. Then came the benevolence of the philanthropists to ease the conscience of the capitalists and to continue aspects of control.

    The media play an integral role in the way the world perceives America, especially young black men. It’s been said, if you say something enough times, it will become true. Therefore, it is important to put the media on notice when they start to propagate negative stereotypes.
